Terms of Service
Plain-English version: you pay us, you get a license bound to your browser that lets our extension poll Extranjería on your behalf. We do our best to catch open slots; we can't guarantee one exists. We don't book anything — you do. Refunds within 30 days if it doesn't work out.
1. Agreement
These terms form a binding agreement between Emu Apps Limited (company number 13305125, registered in England & Wales, registered office: 4th Floor St James' House, St James' Square, Cheltenham GL50 3PR — "we", "us", "our") and you ("you", "the user") when you install the TIE Checker Chrome extension, use this website, or pay for a subscription. If you don't accept these terms, don't use the service.
2. What TIE Checker does
TIE Checker is a Chrome extension that checks Spain's Cita Previa Extranjería website for available appointments matching filters you configure, and notifies you when an appointment becomes available. It does not book appointments automatically. All booking is completed by you manually in the browser.
TIE Checker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Spanish government, any Spanish ministry, or any Spanish consular or police service. "Cita Previa", "Extranjería", "Cl@ve" and related names are the property of their respective owners and are used here only for reference.
3. License
Subject to a valid active subscription, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the TIE Checker extension under the tier you've paid for. Specifically:
- Free — one applicant, one check per day at 08:00 local time.
- Pro — one applicant, configurable polling interval (10/20/30/60 minutes). €20/month or €100/year.
- Premium — up to ten applicants per license, configurable polling interval. Suitable for solicitors, gestores and families tracking several applicants. €45/month.
Each paid license is bound to a single browser on a single device. If you attempt to activate the same key on a second device, it will be rejected. Contact us if you change computer and need a transfer — we do this free of charge.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, sublicense or share your license key with others;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the extension beyond what's necessary to inspect its behaviour for your own security;
- Use the service to harass, spam or in any way abuse the Extranjería website (the extension is rate-limited by design — bypassing those limits is grounds for termination);
- Use the service on someone else's behalf without their consent — especially when entering their NIE, name, phone number or email;
- Use the service in ways that breach Spanish law, UK law, or the Cita Previa website's terms of use.
5. Payment and billing
- Subscriptions are billed via Stripe in euros (EUR).
- Monthly plans auto-renew each month. Yearly plans auto-renew each year.
- You can cancel any time from the Stripe customer portal (link included in receipt emails). Your access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
- Failed renewal payments cause the license to be suspended until payment is retried successfully. After 30 days of non-payment, the license is revoked.
- Applicable VAT/IVA is collected automatically by Stripe where required. Prices shown on the website are inclusive where stated, otherwise exclusive of VAT.
6. Refund policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on new subscriptions. If within 30 days of your first purchase you are unhappy with the service for any reason — including if no appointment is found — email hello@francisbeasley.co.uk with your purchase email and we will process a full refund via Stripe.
Renewals are refunded on request within 14 days of the renewal charge, no questions asked. After 14 days a renewal is non-refundable; you retain access until the end of the paid period.
7. Availability & service-level
We strive for high availability but offer no service-level guarantee. Extranjería periodically changes its website in ways that can break the extension's detection until we ship a fix. We aim to ship fixes within 72 hours of the issue being reported.
We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the Extranjería website's uptime or appointment availability. If no slots exist at all for your province and trámite, the extension cannot conjure one.
8. No advice, no guarantees
TIE Checker is a software tool, not a legal or immigration service. It does not provide immigration advice. Nothing returned by the extension is a substitute for professional legal advice. If you're unsure about your trámite, consult a qualified Spanish immigration solicitor (abogado de extranjería) or gestor.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. missed deadlines, expired authorisations, flight changes) resulting from any failure of the service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud).
10. Changes to the service or terms
We may update the extension, pricing, or these terms at any time. For material changes we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
11. Termination
You can terminate this agreement at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the extension. We can terminate your license immediately if you breach these terms, in which case we will refund any unused portion of a paid period except in cases of fraud or abuse.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
